About XSEED - Developed by experts
from iDiscoveri Education, a social enterprise with a mission to
renew education in India, XSEED offers a world class
teaching-learning methodology for schools. XSEED is an experiential
curriculum that focuses on learning than mugging up text books .
XSEED is based on the philosophy that every child needs to
understand and learn to build the best foundation for life.
Currently, XSEED has reached over 170 schools and 65,000 students
across India. The XSEED curriculum comprises of curriculum manuals,
teacher training, instructional leadership training and student
assessment workbooks that are shaped by alumni of Harvard,
Cambridge, IIMs, and IITs and a panel of expert teachers. XSEED
seamlessly integrates requirements of various school systems in
India (CBSE, ICSE, state boards) and abroad (IB, Cambridge). It is
going to all kinds of schools, big and small, rich and needy.
Children have shown marked improvement in understanding concepts
when taught in the XSEED way. The XSEED classrooms ensure that every
child is a part of the teaching-learning process. XSEED also aims to
develop the creative expression of the child through various
literary and artistic activities. Based on the latest research in
the fields of education, the program seeks to achieve all-round
development of the children, as opposed to the uni-dimensional
curriculum of traditional academics. For more information please

The basic Mission of XSEED is “ All Children Learn Better” and “A
strong Foundation for life”. We believe that every child has a right
to get a good quality education and XSEED is reaching out to all
schools, big or small, rich or poor and in all cities, right from
the Metros to the semi-urban towns.
In an effort to spread awareness about newer and more effective
methods of teaching – learning, we are embarking on a journey to all
districts and main towns of Tamil Nadu. This is called the XSEED
Shiksha Yatra which will be flagged off from Chennai in the First
week of September. The Yatra will be undertaken in a specially
designed bus which will have resources to demonstrate innovative and
effective teaching techniques to teachers, parents and students.
On-board the bus will be the “XSEED Teaching Fellows”; a group of
young graduates from leading institutes such as IITs who have chosen
to devote a 3 month internship to teach primary school children
using experiential learning methods. The bus will also feature a
mobile curriculum resource center which showcases the research-based
XSEED curriculum guides for teachers, assessment workbooks for
children and learning aids for use in the classroom.
In addition to the Yatra, we would be conducting over 70 events in
Tamil Nadu for the School Principals and Management titled “Make
your Good School Great”. We will be reaching out to about 10,000
schools in the state of Tamil Nadu and expect about 3000 school
heads to attend these events over the coming five months. In these
events we will be sharing the Experiential Learning Theories and
also a last mile practical approach to implement these theories
effectively in classrooms.
