Most people wonder: isn’t a top-notch academic background, analytical skills and lots of hard work sufficient for a ‘successful’ life and career? These attributes do matter, but they are merely threshold capabilities. Necessary may be, but clearly not sufficient. What differentiates truly successful people is an ability to be aware of and manage one’s own feelings, relate to others, and cultivate disciplined habits of mind.
